Positions

Each year we have nearly thirty volunteer staff that make camp happen!  

While our volunteer staff aren't paid to be at camp, we do provide all staff members with housing, food, transportation if needed, and all necessary training.  

Counselors:

• Counsel one cabin of 3-6 campers

• Lead cabin devotions

• Guide campers on hikes

• Reenforce camp rules and schedule

• Assist director in facilitating activities

• Participate in camp activities when appropriate

• Help cabin members perform bathroom/kitchen/cabin clean-up

Nurses:

• Must be certified in First Aid and CPR

• Must be prepared to administer first aid at all times (including hikes)

• Keep and dispense all camper medications

• Accompany campers on all hikes

Cooks

• Prepare meals and snacks for campers and volunteers

• Communicate with the on-site director and staff about scheduling

• Prepare and store food in a clean and healthy manner

Camp Work Day Volunteers:

• Cut down trees as necessary and carry logs for firewood

• Sweep cabins and spray with Clorox

• Clean, sanitize, and organize the Shiloh Lodge

• Sanitize and stock bathrooms including toilets and showers

• Repair fences around property perimeter

• Mow weeds along trails and open areas

Camp work day is different every year, depending on what needs to be done.
